Copper in kitchens and bathrooms

When we want to replace the kitchen sinks, the bathroom sinks, the bathtub, or the faucets, we often focus on materials such as stainless steel or porcelain. But there is another option, that once elected, adds personality and warmth to the room where it's placed. I'm talking about copper. The warm tones of copper are especially suitable for homes decorated in Victorian, or French style.

In the kitchen, copper can be used both for the sink and the countertop.

The copper bathtub is itself a work of art. Yields intimacy, mystery. And, fortunately, in the present, there are many models to choose from in stores, but you should not neglect the offers on the Internet either. There are dealers that can create a custom copper sink,or bathtub which add an imprint of your own personality.

If you are thinking of buying a copper item for your house there are some things you should know before making a purchase:

1.
Choose only pure copper!

Some companies add various alloys to the copper, so the final price would be less expensive. It's a trap and a lot of people fall for it. Soon, your tub or sink will rust and you will find out that you did not make a good deal.

2. Copper is a healthy choice!

We all worry about bacteria and we always disinfect everything. While a an steel or porcelain objects bacteria survives for days, on copper it dies in just a few hours. It is important to note that copper objects do not require cleaning with disinfectants or antibacterial solutions.

3. The finish.

Some countertops, sinks, or tubs are from made from gross copper.
Others are finished to have an antique appearance. Some sinks or tubs are simply painted or transformed with a special hammer.
Any model you choose, you should care for your copper object appropriate, so that spots won't appear.

So, if you want to redecorate your kitchen or bathroom, or you need to change the sinks, bathtub, consider copper for a change.
The final choice is yours, but you should browse all the models on the market and then decide which best defines your home's personality.
